Embark on an unforgettable experience in the Sierra de Cazorla with the Oleotour Cazorla, a guided tour that immerses you in the rich culture of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO). For approximately two hours, you will explore everything from centuries-old olive groves to modern production facilities, discovering each stage of the EVOO production process.
The route begins with a walk among millenary olive trees, followed by a visit to one of the largest oil mills in the world, where you will learn about the process of extraction and storage of the oil. You’ll also visit a museum that recreates a 19th-century oil mill, complete with authentic machinery and hand-painted 3D murals, offering a fascinating historical perspective.
The experience culminates with a sensory tasting of at least three varieties of EVOO of the highest quality, where you will learn to identify their characteristics and nuances. In addition, you will have the opportunity to be photographed next to the EVOO Can Guitar, a unique sculpture that pays tribute to the Cazorla blues festival.
Visits take place from Wednesday to Sunday at 10:30 a.m., with options in Spanish, English and French. Prices are €20 for adults, €10 for children aged 7 to 12, and free for children under 6. Discounts are available for large groups.
This activity is ideal for those staying at the Hotel Villa Turística de Cazorla and wish to delve into the olive oil tradition of the region.
