Monumental walk through the heart of Cazorla

Travel through Cazorla between nature and history, from the Cerezuelo River to the Yedra Castle. Discover the ruins of Santa Maria and its unique vault.

A monumental walk through the heart of Cazorla, a route of just over two kilometres that connects you with the very essence of this white village between mountains. Walking along the Cerezuelo River, you will discover the majestic ruins of Santa Maria, vestiges of a 16th-century Renaissance church that still preserve the echo of the religious and social history of the area. As you go, the murmur of the water running under the main square accompanies you in a fresh and mysterious atmosphere. The final touch of the walk is the Castillo de la Yedra, a fortress built between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries that today houses an ethnographic museum. There you can delve into the rural culture of the Sierra de Cazorla, contemplating tools, clothing and documents that tell the life of its inhabitants. All this happens in a privileged natural environment, the gateway to the largest natural park in Spain, where biodiversity and landscapes will envelop you with their magic.
