Located in the building of the old mill of the Nacimiento, near the course of the Majaceite River, the Benamahoma Water Ecomuseum is an effective testimony of the uses that the man of these mountains has given to the liquid element from Prehistory to the present day. During the visit, the ecological importance of the climate regime and the water cycle in the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, the place with the highest rainfall index in all of Spain, will be shown.
In addition, you will be able to see reproductions of traditional buildings and tools related to the world of flour and oil mills, fulling mills for the treatment of wool on which the textile industry of Grazalema was based, bakeries and other trades, which in the past, depended on the force of water.
This facility is part of an environment of interesting attractions for visitors, including the source of the river itself, the beginning of the path that leads to El Bosque or an old fulling mill converted into a fish farm.
